Quick Tip #1: Turmeric smoothie – your golden support
Turmeric is a rich golden spice filled with nutrients that reduce inflammation and support our immune health and digestion. It also contains curcumin, an element known for improving blood flow through our arteries and brain, making it a wonderful combatant for symptoms of arthritis and heart attack.
If possible, go for the fresh roots of the plant for a tangier, fruitier taste. Add a teaspoon in a smoothie and watch the magic happen! The sunny color will bring a smile to your face and add a spring in your step as the turmeric does its work.
Our favorite combination for a classic turmeric smoothie is to mix it with some equally vibrant and tangy fruit, like pineapple, orange, mango or kiwi. Add a few dark greens for even more health benefits.

PKTS: Pineapple kale turmeric smoothie
- Pineapple (fresh or frozen)
- Kale (fresh or frozen)
- Water and/or ice
- Lime Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric or 1 inch of fresh turmeric root
- Place all the ingredients in blender and puree until smooth.
